Hi, I am not sure about photos: as I have never tried that. However, you can tag people in status updates and check ins. Once you have clicked on either Status update or Check In, flick through that screen until you get to the Select Friends button and double tap it.
This will open up the friends dialog. You have a search field up the top and your friends are listed below, but VoiceOver doesn't read your friends name. The way to work around this for now is to double tap on the search field and type enough of your friends name to narrow down the list to just that friend. If you then do a single right flick from the search field, you will hear a click sound and voiceOver will not say anything. However, if you double tap here, your friends name will be added. You will be able to see their name in the search edit field. To add another friend, just double tap on the search edit field again then type a space and start typing the second friends name. If the first friend you added was not the correct one, double tap on the search edit field and in stead of typing a space first, just start typing the name of the friend you want to add and this will overwrite the first incorrect one.
