As soon as one leaves the app by pressing the home button, the audio dies. The one way I’ve gotten around it is by twice pressing the home button to get to the app switcher and from there, press the home button to get to the home screen. That way, the game’s audio feed continues to play in the background. I reported this bug to MLB and they wrote me back over the weekend asking to call, but I haven’t had time to do so.
