Since his last version, I have only not heard a tone when the page had
the blank side up.
This is an iPhone SE, but that is also true with my work phone which is

In Voice Dream Scanner, double tap on menu, then settings, and
look for the tones toggle and make sure it is on.
You no longer need edge detection on since the tone is telling
you how much text is in view.
So, the louder the tone the more information it sees.
Hold it steady when the tone is loudest and if you have auto
capture on, it will take the picture automatically.

Voice Dream Scanner uses tones, but Voice OCR uses the

Yes, I've used it quite a lot and since the update, it
has improved in its reliability. Plus, his renaming the Take a picture button
with simply, Camera.
What is the issue with the hearing aids?
You may also want to let him know through the feedback
