When I go to menu -> about and double tap on terms and policy etc these open in safari for me to read. When done I use the app switcher to go back to Freedome and it opens in the about screen where I double tap the back button in the upper left corner. When I go to menu and help and quick tutorial I simply tap the close button in the lower right corner to go back.
Please tell me exactly what you do and where you go for me to reproduce. At the moment I can go back to main screen from where ever I am.
