I've got a very nice case for my iPhone 8 that is a slim recharging case. It goes down into my iPhone's lightning port. If I need to recharge my phone, I use a standard micro USB cable. I really like that my phone has a built in battery so if my phone gets low all I need to do, is to press and hold a button on the back of the case for a couple seconds listen for the recharging beep and my phone will begin to recharge. The case is good for one extra full recharge. It is also nice that when I recharge my phone via micro USB cable the cases battery will recharge as well.
