I have a Cosco basic Irobot Roomba something like an 803. It works great. I got
the one with two rollers not the brushes by recommendation from someone who
works at iRobot. It really does work well and it's pretty easy to clean. It's a
pet of sorts. I love it. You have to work with it though. You cant have a lot
of loose little things on the ground or wires. But you will get an error
message if it gets itself in trouble. That means of a shoelace gets caught in
it, or a little plastic bag, or wires. This one that I have is a basic model.
It has no Wi-Fi. No mapping capacity. It just randomly uses sonar that works
acoustically so when it finds dirt stays in that spot till it picks it up. It
has a function of doing a spot clean which does makes the robot move in a
circle within a circle in an area that you particularly want done where perhaps
you've spilled something like cat litter or Christmas tree Pineneedles. Or just
a big pile of dirt in one spot. Check out the YouTube the Irobot videos. They
are hilarious Also you can't use it on anything wet or it will smear that all
over. So if you have an animal that is in continent, perhaps a sick or an old
animal, you won't want to leave the I robot unsupervised. Anything that's wet
or sticky or really gross on the floor will get spread around.
