Hi Robert, If you have a 3GS or 4 then not upgrading to the iPhone 5 in my opinion is a mistake. You may end up buying more accessories with the 30-PIN connector and it's not like the 2013 iPhone will suddenly go back to it, Apple usually sticks with something for some time and the new 9-PIN connector is here to stay for the next few years so you might as well get onboard with it. If you have an older dock just get the Lightning to 30-PIN adapter and you are all set.
