I had previously downloaded Envision AI to my iPhone 8 but had never set up an online account with them. When I opened the app yesterday to look into the steep discounts they've been promoting, I went ahead and selected the option to create an account using my email address and the password I provided. Since the app had already been downloaded, I was not prompted to provide my Apple ID but I'm sure I used Touch ID when I originally downloaded it. After logging in with my new account, I heard Voiceover speak that I was using the 14-day free trial. I don't know if any of the above helps but I thought I'd provide the details of my account setup experience in case it might. Good luck with your efforts. I know others have posted about why one would need Envision AI with the other free or less expensive options available but there are aspects of the Envision AI user interface that I do like. And while $38 for a lifetime license isn't inexpensive, that is a significant discount from its usual price.
