I assume maybe they received funding from somewhere because after all Aira agents are paid ant volunteers like Be My Eyes. Air agents also have more control through the app, they can take pictures for you and will even look up stuff online and send you information through the app, they can help with filling out inaccessible web forms and so on. Of course this would probably not work within the 5 minute free call time frame.
