That is strange. I have transferred  phones to  different carriers and didn’t 
have to reset the phone. If you lost information, it looks like they reset your 
phone before the transfer. Typically, it’s just a matter of turning off the 
phone and inserting a new Sim card. If your iCloud back up was up to date, you 
can possibly go back to the state where it was before the transfer and recover 
your information onto this device.

I switched from Verizon to consumer cellular.
As I said, I don’t have an issue with receiving e-mails nor when the address is 
tapped out byhand, which I can’t do, it won’t do it.
I’ve had voiceover on and it still doesn’t do it and with Siri on it won’t 
neither.

So, what carrier are you with now?
Some use a non-standard SMTP port number for sending emails. SMTP is the 
protocol used by Internet Service Providers.
But, this may go deeper than that if your phone is still showing the old 
carrier.
If you can give a little more info, perhaps someone will come up with the right 
answer.

Have you talked with your current Carrier?

Unless you changed Email servers, where you need to use a different port number 
for sending than before, this shouldn’t happen just because you changed phone 
companies.

If your phone is showing the old company, then something isn’t right.

I’d start with the carrier, then call Apple Accessibility: 877-204-3930.

My first post on here and I’m hoping that someone can help a total and complete 
technological illiterate.
I just switched phone carriers and now I can’t send e-mails from my new phone. 
It keeps saying, like the 2001: A Space Odyssey movie, I can’t do that Robert.
The e-mail addresses are correct and if they are tapped out on the keypad 
they’ll send, and to clarify folks, I’m blind and my fingers don’t work so well 
to do those …my wife did it b utneeding to be independent…but if I use 
voiceover or Siri, they say the above line. Additionally, the settings indicate 
that I am still with the old carrier.
Any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks a ton for assisting me.
