I've never seen the Edge, so I'm not sure. It is pretty small. Sound quality is very good, and people say they hear me very clearly, so it has a good microphone. I like it too because the hook that goes over your ear can be swung around so you can wear it on either ear. I used to have the m55, and its hook had to be pulled off, then snapped back on for the other ear. This one is hinged so it is quite easy. It isn't any longer than my thumb and weighs next to nothing. If you get it from Amazon, and you don't like it, you can return it quite easily. HTH,
