No. If you want to read a file on the SD card, it has to be a braille file. Connecting to an iPhone or computer, the grade of braille is determined by your device's screen reader. I have my iPhone set to use UEB contracted, so that is what I get on the display, any display. I just wanted to make sure people know that if they put a word document on the SD card, it won't work. But, as a bluetooth display, again the braille is controlled by the screen reader. HTH,
