I can't be sure about the Polaris, but I have confirmed with HumanWare that this is a known bug in the BrailleNote Touch that will not be fixed anytime soon. So beware of purchasing it if this is one of the things you are looking for (it's a terrible, clunky device in general anyway, I still prefer to use my Apex).
