As far as whether the battery is charging the phone or not you can easily see this when you check the status bar, if you are, for example, down to 15% and plug it into the battery, you ccan check the status bar battery indicator. If it says “15%, charging”, then obviously it is getting power from the phone. If it continues to just announce 15% and you don’t hear the sound it makes when you plug it in your battery is most likely dead. Make sure you ask your husband if your battery has an on/off switch and remember which position is on and which is off so you can be sure the battery is turned on. Do the external batteries wrk after you run out of internal battery power immediately or do you have to wait an hour or so to have it charge the internal battery again? If nobody has this battery, I guess I should not ask, but how do you know if the battery is turned on? I know there are lights, but I have no vision at all.
