I've tried finding updates using both methods in the app store and I like the one finger tripple tap on the app store icon the best because you just slide your finger to the right once and it says updates. You don't have to double tap on account and then start looking somewhere else on the screen and I really like the shortest methods when it comes to the iPhone and iPad.
