Right. The sound effects are playing through the speaker, not hearing aids. 

I have gone to Control Center, disabled Bluetooth for 24 hours, went back and 
enabled it. 

I have unpaired my hearing aids in MFI Hearing twice. None of the suggestions 
worked, but it it not a major problem to me, not really even a problem, other 
than they used to come through my hearing aids. 

It was a problem the second time I un-paired my hearing aids. For some reason, 
I had difficulty re-pairing them, but have them going with my program running - 
ocean waves in my aids, as I am typing this.
