Dolby On is working on the UK license, but no idea when that will happen.
MTSR is another recording app that is accessible and it is a multi-track
recorder, and free.
Audio Memos is very good, but the labeling of the various elements could be a
lot better. It does allow you to turn off the Apple filters so you get a better
recording.
Some people swear by Ferrite but I find it way complicated.
Just Press Record I think is around $5 US, and it can automatically save to the
cloud, and can be used to try and get text dictation out of the spoken words,
but I find it only works well if a person is speaking like they are dictating,
using punctuation etc.
Turning off the transcription, then works like other recorders.
For really good quality, I'd go with Audio Memos, which will cost around $10 US
for the full featured version or DolbyOn when you can get it.

Hi all

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, I am in the UK, but I will watch out
in case the Dolby app becomes available.

In the meantime,, we were thinking about using audio mmemos.

I’ve just seen another post about Audacity not being accessible. Are there any
other apps with a similar function which are accessible?

Sorry it took me so long to respond, I’ve been suffering from horrible lurgy
and Siri was having a hard time hearing me.

Best
