Thank you, Richard. I can't find anywhere in the native calendar settings to turn off default alerts. Any suggestions?

Go into the Native Calendar settings and turn off default alerts. If you are setting up an alert at the time you create the event, then it is probably going to show up in both since Fantastical draws from the native calendar. However, you could go into notifications and turn them off for calendar, but leave them on for Fantastical. Reminders and events are treated very similarly. I’m not sure why one needs to use Reminders. But, if you have Fantastical set up to access your Reminders, you could just set up a Reminder via Siri/Reminders app, and it will show up in Fantastical. I’m fairly sure that is correct, but I’m not by my iPhone right now. I finally switched from the Gmail calendar to the home calendar and was able to set up the event through Fantastical, but not a reminder. Well, when the event happened, which is a recurring event, I get an alert from both my calendar and Fantastical at the same time. Can I delete it in my calendar, which I never set up, and just leave it in Fantastical or will that wipe out both of them? I never could set up the reminder but I'm fairly certain that is an IOS issue because it only started after the upgrade. Thank you.
