After a bit more research, I've learned that around 200 movies are audio described at launch, as well as the original shows they are creating for the service, such as, "The World Accordign to Jeff Goldbloom." Setting the audio description up is another story. I had to use Team Viewer on my computer with Aira to set the option. The app is accessible, but there are spots where it has some accessibility issues and other bugs, such as within the media player. Anyway, once the audio description is enabled, it remains so on all devices used to access the service. In other words, I set it with Aira's help on my computer, and when I started watching the same show on my phone, I heard the audio description. I read a comment on AppleVis on the Disney Plus app directory entry that Disney has been made aware of the issues and are working on fixes. There is a free 7 day trial before subscriptions start, so it is worth checking out for fans of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Muppets,and more.
