Hi, In addition to SD cards, you can connect a flash drive or other drive to an iOS device and copy files to it. However, you need a USB3 camera adapter or equivalent to do this. This adapter connects to your iDevice's lightning port and the flash drive, and it also has a connector that lets you connect to a USB charger for power. This is necessary to give the flash drive adequate power. Connecting to a computer's USB port won't work; you have to use a wall charger or power bank. But if you need to pass files back and forth between devices on a regular basis, it might be a good way to do it.
