I don't have an app recommendation but just some advice. My wife and I drove from Upstate New York to Wisconsin a few decades ago, and we had the same plan you do, namely just look for a place when she got tired. We ended up driving from town to town looking for a hotel with a vacancy. It turns out a lot of people had the same idea, and hotels on Route 90 around Cleveland were filling up at dusk. If I were to do it all over again, I'd plan ahead a bit more. I know this puts a damper on some spontaneity, but I'm willing to make that trade off if it means not having a grumpy wife and driver. Of course, things may be different now that we have these smart phones and apps where you can start looking ahead for a vacancy.

I just used expedia and booked a flight and a hotel. The app is mostly accessible. However, when you search for a flight or a hotel, the displayed results screen could be better. Just swipe patiently or explore with touch the lower two thirds of the screen and use the three fingers swipe up to move to the next screen.

Good morning,

We are driving from Northern Minnesota to Tucson, Arizona in a couple of weeks. I’m looking for recommendations on an accessible hotel booking app. I’m totally blind if that matters. I’m using an iphone8. We are thinking we’ll just try to find a room when my wife gets tired of driving. This is our first attempt at the snow bird thing. We already have housing arranged in Tucson but nothing for the road trip.

Thanks for any help,

Joe
