I just tried recording my greeting with my EarPods, and it does not get rid of 
that stop that comes on before the greeting is recorded or played. The only way 
that I know to get rid of that is to record your greeting from my landline. 
Some carriers allow you to call your cell phone number from a landline and 
access your voicemail by hitting the pound key and then entering your password. 
Then it will give you options. Recording greeting is one of those. That is the 
only way that I have seen that you can get rid of that stop in your recording
