Hello all
I'm wondering if a costly but easy way to use a phone to translate Spanish
into English is to buy another phone or some other device. I do not own an
ipad, or tablet, or ipod or any other device. I assume that the translators
readily available for sale all have screens where you read the result of the
translation, might get a proper pronunciation but maybe can't spell out a
word letter by letter.
I haven't dared to switch my current iPhone the phone into an other
language because I am afraid that I won't find my way back to English. I did
that on YouTube a week or so ago and accidentally got stuck not even on
Spanish but on Laotian.That took a huge effort on the part of someone
sighted with thehelp of a software engineer to find the combo box with
unlabeled names of things to select English once more.
I've heard people mention putting languages into the rotar but I
think that means that any words written in Spanish or Italian, for example,
will be pronounced correctly when they are encountered.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap option to use a phone
or other device for this purpose? The google translator works great for
English to Spanish translations, but Like I said, I'm afraid to switch Siri
over to Spanish to English and get stuck there, plus my dictation isn't
going to be accurate in Spanish.
