Yes Microsoft office 365 apps are free to download on IOS,

But to use them they are not free,

You have to pay a subscription or purchase an office 365 package to use the
full features of the apps.

On the whole, Microsoft has done a very good job making their apps accessible.
I've had some issues such as being mysteriously tossed out of Excel when I've
tried to use it. I took a pretty good look at the Microsoft Office apps around
two years ago so things have doubtless improved since then. You should
definitely try them out as they're all free on iOS anyway.

I've long ago found alternatives for what I need. I do use Skype regularly and
it works very well. Also, I was particularly impressed with the Microsoft To Do
app. It integrates with the Outlook calendar so that might be a big advantage
for you. I've gravitated to using the Reminders app as well as Fantastical to
keep track of things. For writing, I use Ulysses. There are many different
writing alternatives. Pages isn't too bad. I might have stuck with it had it
been as accessible as it is now from day one. Take the time to try things out
and see what you like. We have an abundances of accessible choices in iOS. I
hope to have my guide published at the end of April where I go over a lot of
these in some detail.

Hello all,

The family here recently got office 365, the shared subscription for $10
a month. How accessible are the various office apps, Word, Access,
Excell and One Note. Also, how usable are Skype and One Drive?

Along with this question, if people here prefer other apps for functions
available through the various Microsoft apps, such as interacting with
documents, which ones do people recommend?

Thanks so much for all answers.
