I think you are really speaking of earbuds, that is small in-ear transducers (fancy word for device which turns electricity into sound, or vice versa), Bluetooth external "cans" (headphones with large cushions outside the ear) are also pretty common (less common, these days, are external units which convert traditional 3.5 mm (or 1/2") to bluetooth).
