If EyeNote works for you I think it's much better to stick with it as it's a current app which continues to get updates. I am not a huge fan to maintain apps which have been abandoned by their developers or which have been left behind and that applies to iOS as well as old Windows operating systems or programs. If there is a current alternative it's always better to go with it. Just my opinion.
