Well, I am writing this on the Orbit, and going to see if I can reproduce the bug. I will make a mistake here, interestingly, I made a mistake, deleted part of the word, and continued and VoiceOver is speaking just fine. However, where you here each letter you delete, I hear nothing until I have deleted the entire word. Exactly what ar your keyboard settings for hardware keyboards? I'd like to hear the letters I am deleting.

Now type a mistake and press space +d backspace and correct your word and go on typing. Then, in my case, voiceover stops giving feedback and there is no way to restore it back to normal. My feedback is set on words. If I delete text I get feedback of each letter I erase but no feedback of words when typing further on.
