Hello,

I have a router that calls itself an EE Smart Hub here in the UK that has a
USB2 port to which one can attach a disk or memory stick.

Using Windows it is possible to access the attached storage as:

\\192.168.1.254\usb1\ <file://192.168.1.254/usb1/>

Where:

192.168.1.254

Is the IP address of the router as seen by attached devices.

Is it possible to access such storages with the stock Apple Files app?

I have a Western Digital My Cloud server here and the Files App is perfectly
happy to connect to it via its address of:

192.168.1.120

I suspect the problem is that the USB share on the router is not given its
own IP address may be the issue here.

There are apps that will scan for and connect to the router's attached USB
drive but the Apple Files app will not.

Any thoughts welcome..
