Which model of iPhone do you have, Karl, and who is your carrier? I've sent and 
received several messages today, so far, without problem.

I started having the same problem with serie and messages yesterday. I rebooted 
my phone as well but no fix. I spoke to my friend and discovered she was having 
the same problem. I just tried it and it seems to be working now.

I know this doesn't help but interesting to see someone else having exactly the 
same problem.  I thought it was just my phone so didn't call apple.  I have 
tried the reset but no improvement.
