You’re creating an account in Lazarillo. It’s asking you to use your email address as a user ID. You’d use a different password just like you would with any new account. I assume it’s doing this so it can keep track of things like POI’s for you in the cloud. You won’t have to log on every time.

After entering your email, the spot on the screen where the return key would normally be, is now the word “Next” double tap that to go to the password screen. 2. Enter your password and again double tap on the Next button in the bottom right. You will be asked to allow it to use your location, etc. When done, it will start talking a lot about everything around you. At the top left of the screen is the “Stop Exploration” button.
