There's only two buttons on the watch. The crown button is round. Since you've never had an apple watch before to my knowledge, if it were me, I'd set it up as a new watch. You can pair it in two ways; manually or in line with your camera. These are only my opinions. I'm sure other people on the list may have different opinions about what you should do. Hope you enjoy your watch as much as I have mine. I don't have a lot of faces but it does what I need it to do.
