I have never heard of connecting two phones via a cable. There is an option to set up a new phone over WiFi from your previous phone. Alan Lemley has posted instructions in the past. If I find them, I will repost them unless alan replies sooner.

Hello, I have the usb3 camera adapter which my workplace bought for my use with a usb microphone. I understand that two iphones can be cabled together for data transfer. My question is will it only deal with icloud data, or will it actually transfer downloaded music, Audible books, and that type of content to the new phone? Can this be done at any time, or must it be done when first setting up the new phone? Thanks,Matthew -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
