Hello, The keyboard runs on standard AAA batteries and must be placed into the raised area to the left of the keys when the keyboard is opened. You can not recharge it's batteries via USB. The stand which comes inside of the keyboard is used for the iPhone or iPod you are using with the keyboard. The on/off switch is located to the left of the keys near the left Shift key and slides left and right where sliding to the right turns it on and to the right turns it off. The pairing button is recessed and is very small and can be found just above the on/off switch. You must use something very small to press and hold for a few seconds in order to pair the bluetooth keyboard. Once you've paired the device, go into the VO practice screen and press buttons to see what they are. DJ
