The volume is determined by the sound volume setting on your phone. Perhaps his sound files are louder to start with than others, but I find that if I set the sound volume under settings to 45 percent, it is a nice level for everything for me and I can still hear VoiceOver when the chimes are going off. Now, for some who might be hard of hearing, that might not work. Richard

I would probably have to include sets of sounds recorded at low, medium and high volumes and give users that choice. It would make the size of the app bigger but it might achieve the desired result? thanks for your feedback, Riccardo On 23 Oct 2012, at 09:03, Kawal Gucukoglu wrote: Hello Riccardo. Is it also possible to have a volume button as well because when I listen to a book or something, Big Ben drowns out the voice but it does not drown out Voice Over. Kawal. I hope to do this in the next few weeks, thanks for suggesting it. Cheers, Riccardo On 21 Oct 2012, at 10:01, Kawal Gucukoglu wrote: Hello. I only want to hear the hourly chimes and not the quarter chimes. My sounds are on however. At present, I can hear nothing as I've selected the hourly chimes only. If I zselected the quarterly chimes, I will hear the quarterly chimes and the hourly chimes. I want the hourly chimes only. Is this possible for you to do? I was the person who heard some chimes on You Tube as I thought they were your chimes but apparently not as I know some one wrote to you by the name of Richard Turner. I am a voice over user as I'm visually impaired. I hope you know about Voice Over on the Apple devices. Another user has now asked if I can separate the choice of hearing the sound on the hour from hearing it also every quarter hour, is this perhaps what you are trying to do? So far, Big Ben is not working even though sounds is turned on but the quarterly chimes is off. Please could you investigate as there may be a bug in the software. Please get it fixed soon as I paid 0.69p for it. Thanks very much. Kawal. p.s. UK. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
