Hi Mary, Are you talking about starting with Hey Siri, send a text to ... if so, check your Siri settings under Siri Responses and make sure they are all turned on. Mine works fine. If I start a message with the compose button and use the 2 finger double tap to start dictation, VoiceOver reads back what I dictate.
