Hi, I bought a lavalier mic to record into my iPhone. I figured I would use my AirPods to still listen to sound, but on connecting the lavalier to the 3.5 MM jack on my 6S, I lost all sound. I did some research. Some people claim a splitter would help if I want to use another 3.5 MM set of earbuds. I don’t mind spending a few bucks to buy a splitter, but then I found posts claiming this method was not working in recent models of iDevices, understanding I would need an adapter to plug into the lightning port. Can anyone offer other suggestions? I’m going to buy the camera kit and powered hub to connect a better mic, but I like the idea of carrying around this smaller lapel mic when I need to present in some place other than my home or office. Thanks for any suggestions.--Joe
