It sounds to me like you are doing everything correctly. You may want to try this. Go to settings. Go to blue tooth, then find the orbit writer. Then forget the device. Then also go to voice over, braille, and make sure that the orbit writer isn't showing up there. If it is, also forget the device. Then go back and re-pair it again. See if this works. Let us know.
