Hi, I do not think there is an XP, there are XS, Xr and there could be an X Pro, but in any case, those models are disappearing and the first iPhone X is discontinued. The XX and XR are probably next on the chopping block as they came out the next year. If you got an X, whatever, now, it is already 2.5 years old. The SE 2020 is 2 phone cycles newer. Still has the home button, and has the same chip that is in the iPhone 11. It is the same size as the 8 was, so smaller than your 6s.
Personally, I would wait and see if they offer any deals on the 13 when it comes out, or check into an 11 if you want something of a similar size to what you have.
