I’m going to start a new thread that shows a problem I’m trying to document so I can report it to Apple I’m pretty sure it’s still happening with iOS beta which I just installed. So look out for a new thread. Take care and I hope we can narrow this down and get it fixed. I don’t think it’s related to a specific Bluetooth speaker.

If you can “airplay” to it, then VoiceOver should stay on the phone. If it is Bluetooth, then it may or may not leave the voice on the phone, that seems to vary widely between speakers. Try selecting Airplay fron the control center and see if that speaker is an option. I then played a song using the Music app and again turned on the speaker. After the music came out of the speakerr I noticed for the first time that Voiceover remained on my device and now it was indeed louder and there were sort of times when I swiped where it sounded normal and then peaked, not normal, but still no change in Voiceover speech rate. I then used the rotor to get to Audio Destination and switched to "External Audio". At this point my music played on the bluetooth speaker and Voiceover also came through the speaker and here the volume was normal, audio ducking worked, but there were no fluctuations in volume. I then tried the same with my new Sonos Roam except I selected it as an audio destination in the Music app which means I used Airplay to send the music. Here Voiceover remained on my device as expected and it sounded entirely normal, not louder, no volume fluctuations at all.
