Be careful with those battery cases. They have a sort of built in lightning connector that when you put your iPhone in the case, the connector inside the case goes into your iPhone lightning port. If that connector inside your battery case is bent or broken, then the case doesn't work anymore. That happened to me one time and I was out $50. Holly, I was talking about the battery in the iPhone 12 mini. I'd get a portable battery with built in lightning cable rather then a smart charge case. I've got a little leather bag with 2 small pockets, one pocket fits my iPhone 8, and the other pocket will hold my 10000 MA. portable battery. It has a built in lightning cable, as well as a cable with both a micro USB and also USBC tip. It works very well. I just charge the battery over night before I go somewhere and I've got enough power if I need it when I go out.
