Thanks for the replies. That darn mute switch was the problem. I’ve done that before, but it seems like it affected other things, so nothing else was affected this time. Just Siri. I have checked also the settings that richard mentioned, and both messages and phone calls are supposed to be announced. I also restarted my phone. But that darn mutes which was the issue.
