Hi Kathy,

I am reposting the below message, hope this helps:

If you are using a headset this is extremely easy, if you are on a call and
another call comes in just press the Play./Pause/Talk/Hangup button on the
headset remote. This will automatically put the first caller on hold and
answer the second call. When you are done with the second call you can press
it again to go back to the first. I believe that if you wait until the
second caller hangs up the phone will automatically switch back to the first
call as well.

Now, without a headset this a bit more tricky. Actually switching to the
second call and putting the first caller on hold is relatively easy, it is
getting the first caller back that is not as easy. First you have to make
sure that your Voiceover volume is reasonably high so you can hear Voiceover
during the call. Now, when another person calls, tell the first caller to
hold, then take your phone away from your ear and wait a second or two to
give the proximity sensor time to switch to speakerphone otherwise you can't
hear Voiceover. Now touch the bottom left of the screen, Voiceover will say
"Hold Call + Answer". If you touch the right side at the botton it is "End
Call + Answer" which of course answers the second call, but it disconnects
the first caller. It is quite easy to find these buttons, the Hold + Answer
is more or less from the left edge of the screen to the Home Key and the End
Call + Answer is from the Home key to the right side of the screen.

Now, once you are done with the second caller you have to once again take
your phone away from your ear, it is easiest to just wait a bit until the
other person hangs up, then further up on the screen you find a Hold Button
which I believe Voiceover announces as selected. Double tap it and you
should get the first caller back.

I more often than not use the headphones especially if I am walking around
or if I am making several calls or longer calls. It's just a lot more
comfortable and easy.

Hope this helps a bit. You can of course practice this and I very much
encourage you to do so in order to become comfortable and quick. It is
easiest if you have a couple of friends over and just ask them to call you
one at a time and give it a try. I also practiced this deliberately a few
times because I was sick and tired of either not being able to switch fast
enough or of hanging up on the original caller because I couldn't figure out
how to get back to them.

Take care,

Sieghard

When you are on a call and receive another call how do you switch over to
the new call? I am having trouble successfully doing this. Kathy and Seeing
