I'm not currently doing this on my 6 s so would have to see. You could be
right, but when I had it set up, it sure seemed like it was working. I
myself didn't use it long because I have family that might need to contact
me.

  Hi Kay,

  Um,

No, do not disturb did not have a feature that turned it on when you
locked your phone in IOS 14 or earlier.

However you could schedule your dnd to lock at set times unlock etc

  And when you locked it

That would then put the notification on the top of the screen that said do
not disturb was on,

Otherwise when you had your phone open the DND icon was on the status bar
/ line at the top of the screen.

But because you were using your phone it didn’t appear to have dnd on but
it would have been.

I use dnd all the time and this is how it’s always worked for me.

Well, I hate to tell you this, but you could have do not disturb activate
itself on locking the screen in 14. I do this every night and I know that
my friend is correct. Now, to figure out why it is gone now.

You could never have Do Not Disturb come on when you lock you r screen.

What you can do is to have Do Not Disturb on and to set it so that when
your phone is unlocked you are getting notifications and such and that is
still there under Settings > Focus > Do Not Disturb.

All the same settings are still there except they added a bunch of new
ones which make it much more configurable.

    Hi all,

This question is from a friend. Before 15 when you locked the screen
you could have it set to turn on do not disturb. Now they have buried all
that in focus but there seems to be no way to do this any more, short of
going in and turning it on before you lock your screen. Has anyone figured
out how to have do not disturb come on when you lock your screen
automatically? Thanks much.
