Hi folks, I know that the topic of accessible thermostats has been discussed on this list countless number of times. From the past discussions I understood that both Honeywell and google nest make reasonably accessible thermostats. However, each company makes several models which makes it hard to determine which model is the most accessible. Needless to say that technology is changing rapidly, and because of this, some models are no longer available while newer models are being pushed into the markets. My thermostat is no longer reliable. Therefore I hope I can get your opinions, based on your experience, which is more accessible, honeywell or nest, and which model? Does the installation need a technician or it can be done by any handyman? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
