Hi Janet, I have the series 4 watch,
On the cellular watchs you can make calls and receive calls without the phone attached but With the gps wath you can only receive or make calls on the watch if the phone is in range, The watch is just an extensiton to the phone in the gps case. Otherwise it’s a watch with extra features.
