And I remember there was a lady on this list years ago when Touch Id first came
out who could not get it to work if her life depended on it. She was a
transcriptionist I believe and always claimed that she typed so uch in her life
that she had no more finger prints. Anyways, there definitely ar ea lot of
people for whom Touch Id just doesn't work well at all because they work with
their hands and their hands are rough, have scrapes and cuts or their work
means they are dirty, oily or greasy and then there are of course those of us
who live in a cold climate where you pretty much wear gloves for 5 to 6 months
in the year and on and on. Would I like both, sure, why not, but if it were
either Face Id or Touch Id than Face Id definitely is the better option.

Sorry Richard, Face Id and Touch Id have nothing to do with SIRI, but neither
does phone size, this is just one of those threads which diverged from the
original topic, not ideal but a normal thing which can happen with any
conversation as well. You meet and start discussing work and next thing you are
talking about your hobbies before getting back on track.

I have to agree with Sieghard that Face ID is much easier and faster than Touch
ID ever was. I would not wait to upgrade to an iPhone containing Touch ID if
your current iPhone isn't meeting your needs.

Then definitely expect 2 years rather than 1 because all rumors indicate it's
unlikely the 14 phones will get Touch Id.
Have you actually really tried Face Id? I mean really had a chance to use an
iPhone 11, 12 or 13 and set it up and use it?
You might be surprised how fast and good it is, in my opinion much more
reliable than Touch Id.

I use Verizon and I've got an awesome deal. I get 5 gigs of data and unlimited
talk and text for around $27 per month. Esther, I'm not getting a 13 pro this
year. I'm holding out for a phone with touch ID. If I have to wait a couple
more years to do so, I can do it.
I've only had my iPhone 8 for just over 2 years. So my phone still has a lot
of life left in it. I also just had my battery replaced.
Let me tell you all, that new battery sure does make a difference in available
time. I also have a great new otterbox simitry case for my iPhone 8.
