I agree with that, but it also depends on whether you are talking about technology which is what I would call essential and technology which is less so. I need my iPhone for many things every day so it better be in top shape, but while for me a set of wired Earbuds are essential, a $700 Bluetooth headset like the Airpods Max is luxury and before all of you south of the border inform me that it is only $549 or whatever it costs there, I am talking about our currency. Anyways, it's like with everything, people decide what they need and what they want and spend their money accordingly.
