I am using an older iPhone SE, the Mail app which came on the phone. I have 3 drafts I can't seem to find a way to delete. Whenever I open that app to a list of messages, There is a message at the bottom of the screen that tells me I have 3 drafts in progress. When I tap on the button that follows that message, it opens a window listing the 3 drafts, each followed by a button that opens that draft. I can't find a delete button anywhere.
