Esther. I don't know why you would think it would be a bad idea to charge a brand new iPhone to 100%. I do it all the time with my iPhone 8, and my battery lasted me for over 2 years before needing to be replaced. I hope you have apple care for your new iPhone. I didn't have to pay a thing for my new battery. I found out that the 13 pro with a one terabyte storage will cost $1500 not including tax or an additional $200 for apple care. I'm probably looking at around $2000 or so for my next iPhone. Especially since there might be higher capacity phones then one terabyte models in the future. I'd say my iPhone 8 is good for a couple more years. I can pay $10 per month for apple care, a real bargain in my opinion.
