Boy, oh boy, your reply made my day! Glad you were able to get Siri to address you appropriately. ;-)

Bill,

You little beauty you! Siri is now calling me by my own name! Makes me feel much more like forming a friendship with him. Thanks so much.

Sandra, am going to try to answer some of your queries:

2. My dataplan is paid for my my partner, So is in his name. Well, Siri keeps calling me Hugh! I don't like it! Does anyone know how I can change Siri's address to me?

A: First, you need to add your personal info in a contact, open phone and select "Contacts" along the bottom, then hit the "ADD" button and do your best to fill in pertinent info. Now that you have your very own contact in the Contacts list, go to the home screen, select "Settings," then select "General," and finally select "Siri." There is a button toward the bottom entitled "My Name" (or something akin), select that and select your own contact for that setting. Siri will politely address you as "Sandra" or whatever you place in the "First Name" field of your contact entry.

4. I do keep getting the old "try again later" from Siri, is this just part of how things go? We do have a rather slow internet connection here, would this affect Siri?

I've never gotten that message, but I do have an iPhone 5 so there may very well be a performance affecting you in this matter. Try a simple request like, "What time is it?" The proceed with gradually more complicated requests, do you have the list of Siri commands? You can also ask Siri, "What can you do?"

Hallo the list,

Well I just got my new, brand new, don't want to get bit twice!!! 4S and have a few quiieries. 1. I like to have the phone set to "white on black" however, unfortunately, this also turns all images into negatives, including apps such as Binoculars. I could live with this, if I could find a quick way to turn the setting back to normal, I.E. black on white. However, I just can't find a way to add this to the rotor or might I be able to ask Siri, my new acquaintance, to do it for me?

2. My dataplan is paid for my my partner, So is in his name. Well, Siri keeps calling me Hugh! I don't like it! Does anyone know how I can change Siri's address to me?

3. In mail things are working well with my Gmail account, but I don't seem to have access to my address book, I.E. when I fill in the address in the "to" field, I normally can just fill in "vip" and this list will come up in my choices, but this is not happening. Any suggestions?

4. I do keep getting the old "try again later" from Siri, is this just part of how things go? We do have a rather slow internet connection here, would this affect Siri?

thanks for any hints and tips, especially the naming thing!!!
  Tia Sandy.
